Broad spectrum AgION antimicrobials are effective against a range of bacteria as well as mold and fungus. The AgION antimicrobial technology is proven safe. AgION antimicrobials are registered with the EPA for use in food processing facilities and approved by the EPA and FDA for food contact surfaces. AgION’s silver based antimicrobial is included on the USDA list of non-food compounds for food processing plants, as maintained by NSF. The AgION products have NSF 51 Certification for food processing/food service equipment and incorporation of the products in carbon block water filter systems has been deemed approvable under NSF Standard 42.
